Here’s a sarcastically hilarious article on the mortgage “crisis” via Free Money Finance. On the heels of his plan to freeze interest rates on subprime mortgages for responsible homeowners who simply needed a helping hand, President Bush announced today he is ready to shift his attention to assisting the “stupid, irresponsible homeowners who knowingly bought…
Hehehe… Ed Brill is in Singapore this week and posted this photo from the Lotusphere Comes to You conference: I’ve been to Lotusphere in Orlando three times, and I’ve never seen that kind of advertising. Seems like something more out of SEMA than Big Blue.
With the Borders at Quaker Crossing progressing right along, today comes this announcement of Barnes & Noble building a new store at the McKinley Mall. The proclaimed world’s largest bookseller will open its first Southtowns store sometime in 2007, officials confirmed Wednesday. It was also noted that it will be the only Barnes & Noble…
Had a minor glitch with the blog that prevented some IE users from seeing some of the newly created pages, like Ariella’s Gift List. Turns out the .htaccess file needed a manual update. Let me know if you see anything else out of whack.
One of the cool “add-ons” to geocaching are Travel Bugs. Travel Bugs (or TB in shorthand) are items that move from cache to cache. You purchase a travel bug, which includes a set of dog tags that are stamped with a unique serial number. One tag you attach to an object of some sort, one…
Here are this week’s five interesting articles, handpicked by yours truly. A History of Enterprise IT in One Slide [AIIM Digital Landfill] I love a good graphic, and this one is a pretty clear illustration of computing history. Hi! I write you for different reasons. The first one to tell you I enjoyed your pics from Belgium. I went there last year and I think it’s an awesome place. The other reason is because we share the same lastname, this is: Punaro. I am mexican, and back there all the people that share this lastname are the descendents of the late Mr. José Asuncion Punaro (this is my grandfather from my mother’s side). The funny thing is that we don’t know the origen of the Punaro name. So, each time I have a chance, I seach to see if by any chance I find a clue. Some time ago I was told it is from northen Italy. Do you have an idea? Thank and hope you don’t bother for using this space that I imagine it’s reserved for your family and close friends.
The name does originate in Italy. Somewhere, I have some images of Ellis Island records of my ancestors coming over to the U.S. I’ll post them when I have a chance. I do not know where the Mexican branch would have started!
