In full glory

This is my new favorite photo of the Terminal, taken from outside of Arty’s during the Alive Night party on Friday. It’s a nice, full shot where you can see the tower, the concourse arch, and even the baggage building, yet it’s far enough away that you don’t see all the gritty details. I’m thinking about having these printed and adding them to our merchandise lineup.

  1. Thanks! One of these days I’m going to get a “real” camera. I’m stretching what I can do with my point & shoot 4 megapixel. Of course, some lessons or pointers wouldn’t hurt either. πŸ™‚

  2. You can actually do quite a bit with 4 megapixels. I was using a 3.1 point & shoot for a while before purchasing my “real” camera. I managed to get some good 8×10 prints from the 3.1, although you really couldn’t go larger without noticeable pixelation. Good composition is more important, in most cases, than an expensive camera. A good rule to follow is the “rule of thirds.”

  3. I agree, Mike. I’ve been able to do quite a bit with my camera so far. But there are some shots that I know I’d like to get that the camera just can’t do – crisp foreground/blurred background shots that you need a longer lens for.

The best thing about digital is you can shoot and shoot and shoot and once in awhile you get a nice shot.
