I had intended on going out to take photos of the eclipse, but instead found myself enthralled with the total view of the night sky. This, my friends, is why you move out to the country.

Here’s the Eclipse, nearly full.
Just one quick shot tonight. This is the courtyard of Basilica di Sant’Ambrogio. I love the moss growing in the cobblestones, and the light rain really makes the color stand out. Someday I’ll have to come back to this shot and add in a non-blah sky, but for now… just look at everything else. 🙂
Thursday night I was in bed, flipping through The Sun. I was astonished to see five pages of letters to the editor, most of which centered around the ongoing partisan problems in the Town of Hamburg. I was surprised to find a lengthy letter from Town Supervisor Steven Walters responding directly to all the criticism.
Red reminded me of something I wanted to mention here. It was damn windy yesterday. I drove over the Skyway on my way home. It certainly blew the car around a bit. I would imagine those going over the Grand Island bridges had about the same experience. So did those using the 90E/290W interchange. Or…

I lived in Holland as a kid (Hi!) and remember more than a few starry nights when the only light was from the Fisher Price factory on the other hill. Your pictures were much better than any I ever took back then!
