Picnic on the Plaza IV: Oktoberfest
Second annual Oktoberfest to be held at Central TerminalBuffalo, New York September 13th, 2006: The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation (CTRC) is very pleased to announce that it is sponsoring Picnic on the Plaza IV: Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 23rd from 6pm to midnight at the Central Terminal on 495 Paderewski Drive in Buffalo. There will be a $5 admission fee at the door with all proceeds going towards the continued preservation and restoration of the Central Terminal.
In true German tradition, Oktoberfest is planned as close as possible to the first day of autumn, September 21st. Can’t make it to Munich this year? Celebrate right here in Buffalo! Enjoy a slice of Germany in our very own biergarten in the main concourse! Food, authentic German beers, soft drinks, and official Central Terminal merchandise will be available for purchase. Entertainment will be provided by Western New York’s most popular German band, The Frankfurters!
Come out and have a beer, dance a polka or two, or just enjoy an evening with friends!
The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation was founded in 1997. It’s mission is to preserve the historic 1929 New York Central train terminal on Buffalo’s East Side and help restore it to it’s former prominence in Buffalo’s architectural landscape. The CTRC is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that sponsors several public events and tours each year to support the continued preservation of this important landmark.
Don’t forget… Bloggercon V is also being held during this event! It’s going to be a great time!
