I am happy to say that I was one of those schools closed. Seeing that Monday we have a staff day at school, therefore no holiday for us, it was nice to actually catch up on some work in the house! Kudos to God for the high winds and cold weather! 😉
Ripping down the Skyway is something I want to see happen. It’s a joke, an eyesore and costs millions of dollars to paint and maintain every year.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. But I’d love to see a comparative cost study on the maintenance/staffing costs of multiple lift bridges vs. the once-per-decade painting of the Skyway.
