Spitzer’s certainly “Taking Care of Business”
So all the Democrats are in town for the big rah-rah Spitzer/Clinton party. BuffaloPundit is blogging the event, so if you’re interested head over there. This comment made me laugh out loud: Cue Tom Petty. Cue the balloons. Cue the confetti. Segue into BTO’s “Takin’ Care of Business“. Oh my. That’s Spitzer all right. He…
Leaving the suburbs
Yes, we’re moving. No, we’re not leaving Erie County. And no, we’re not going to be the latest to move to a trendy new downtown loft. Now that those questions are out of the way, the next is, “Why are you moving?” Two main reasons. First, we purchased our home five years ago, relatively cheaply,…
20,000 miles
It’s odd. I don’t consider myself one of those “world travelers”. A year ago I didn’t even really have the desire to travel outside of the U.S. “There’s so much to see here, I don’t need to go over the ocean,” I would say. But life has an odd way of making decisions for you….
Things I’m not buying
With Stampede Friday and Shop-At-Work Monday now behind us, I thought it opportune to reflect on some of the frequently frenzied purchases consumers “need” that I don’t. Nintendo Wii – Perfectly happy pulling out my old school PS2 once a month to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Offline. We just don’t game enough to…
Barenaked wing eating
By the way… the Barenaked Ladies/Guster concert was excellent, as expected. It’s not replacing any of my top five, but it was good nonetheless. Big props to Tyler’s Rick Jeanneret-influenced version of Feliz Navidad. Yes, you did have to be there. You didn’t need to have been there to get Steven Page’s recap on the…
Modifying a SharePoint 2010 workflow email
The out-of-the-box SharePoint 2010 workflow approver email notification no longer contains a link to the workflow task associated with the workflow item. While that’s ok if the approver is using Microsoft Office 2010 and the document is an Office document, if either of those are not the case then there is no easy way for…
for something like this, to replicate the feel I think you want, you probably want to feather edges of your faux-vignette a little more and add a layer or two of grain to give it more of a realistic, film-y feel. Very cool shot, though.
it’s a very nice shot, i like it a lot, but the corner darking could be less dark. i’m sure your camera didn’t do it THAT dark (and if it did, maybe something is wrong haha).
Yeah, the vignette is completely Photoshopped and I couldn’t get it to come out quite the way I wanted it to. I also went back to the RAW shot and tweaked it a little bit to make it a bit more dynamic. Going to take it back into PS and work it a bit more.
