It’s all “for the children”
Do you believe politicians when they say they’re making changes “for the children”? Think again. Our children face a future of rising taxes, squeezed — and perhaps falling — public services, and aging — perhaps deteriorating — public infrastructure (roads, sewers, transit systems). Today’s young workers and children are about to be engulfed by a…
Bring It Back To Life show @ Club Paradise
Amanda and I met up with John, Lauren, Chris, Allison, Suzy, Dave, and Sue and went to the Bring It Back To Life show Saturday night. Also spotted were Steven and RagingTaxpayer from SpeakupWNY.com. The show was great as always. The crowd size was a bit disappointing. We got to talk to Christina and Scott…
Grape Irony
So, I got this email from Premier Wines/Prime Wines/Prestige Wines begging me to help it keep wine out of supermarkets with what has to be the weakest, most self-serving arguments ever: Don’t let “Big Box Greed” endanger your friends and family. • Wine in 16,000 more outlets means more traffic fatalities • Five times more…
Punaro Glen Construction: Mid-October
Incremental progress over the last couple weeks. Drain tile and waterproofing was added. One the foundation was inspected, backfilling and rough grading was done. Our other accomplishment was to rent a Bobcat and turn our mountain of wood chips into a nice hiking trail! Stay tuned for a future video showing the hiking trail! Probably…
East Aurora Coop Capital Campaign

According to the St. Catharines Standard, the Aquarama/Marine Star was scrapped, starting on September 16 last year. The former passenger and auto ferry Aquarama was sold for scrap and towed to Aliaga, Turkey, last summer. The ship had been idle since 1962. … The deep-sea tug Aetos Z. took the vessel across the Atlantic and…
for something like this, to replicate the feel I think you want, you probably want to feather edges of your faux-vignette a little more and add a layer or two of grain to give it more of a realistic, film-y feel. Very cool shot, though.
it’s a very nice shot, i like it a lot, but the corner darking could be less dark. i’m sure your camera didn’t do it THAT dark (and if it did, maybe something is wrong haha).
Yeah, the vignette is completely Photoshopped and I couldn’t get it to come out quite the way I wanted it to. I also went back to the RAW shot and tweaked it a little bit to make it a bit more dynamic. Going to take it back into PS and work it a bit more.
