Anything’s Possible

My luck won’t quit today.

Ari wanted carrots for a ‘healthy’ snack, so I went into the fridge and saw that they were all rotting in the bag. So I took them out and decided to steam the good parts for Cambree’s first veggies, so they wouldn’t go to waste.

Got them into the pan with water and Cambree needed nursing again so I nursed her and she fell asleep. She hasn’t been sleeping well at all lately, so any short nap is a good one in my book.

At the end of the session I thought I smelled something burning so I took her upstairs, asleep, put her into the swing and she stayed asleep. I ran downstairs to get the carrots, and they were all stuck to the bottom of the pan, burned on one side.

I got them all out and decided that we will just have them for dinner when I realize that Ari is nowhere to be seen. I didn’t know where she was, but got a bad feeling about her being upstairs with the baby when I hear a single high pitched scream coming from our room, where the swing is, where Cambree WAS asleep five minutes earlier.

Ari was playing with the Nemo toys and making lots of noise. Cambree was watching her confused as to why there was all this noise suddenly interrupting her nap.

Therefore, I am taking the rare moment in the middle of the afternoon to blog about the craziness my life has become all about. Someday I will look back on all this craziness and finally laugh about it, instead of letting it get me so stressed I want to scream, or lock myself in my room for the rest of the day and let the girls fight it out for themselves. But I’m a Mom; I’ll persevere and be fine. 🙂
