Downtime day
ByDerekOur first major holiday gathering at the new home was very successful. The weather was cooperative and everyone was able to make it out here to the hills. We had a fire going in the fireplace all day long. Amanda roasted a a perfect roast, in a way that even my father the “Meat Specialist”…

Lunch break activism
ByDerekI did make it out to the presentation of the pro-net neutrality petitions to Senator Schumer’s office today. Jen has a wrapup on her site. I have more to say on the issue, but I’m still adjusting to Amanda’s new schedule, so it’ll have to wait for another day.

Confused by all those airline fees?
ByDerekCheck out this handy chart at RickSeaney.com which outlines all the major US carriers and their fees for everything from checking baggage to alcohol to unaccompanied minors. I didn’t even realize there was a fee for that. Of course, some parents may consider that a cheap day care.
