Christmas shopping is done!

Amanda and I made a trip out to the Galleria today to finish our Christmas shopping. We are now done! Still have some cookies to bake and wrapping to do, but we’ve got a couple of days left for that.

Why did we go all the way out to the Galleria when McKinley is two minutes away?

Cheesecake Factory

Oh, yes! I haven’t been to a Cheesecake Factory since Amanda and I took a trip to Boston when we were first dating in 2001. While they no longer serve my favorite dish – the Straw and Hay Pasta, we both got outstanding meals – Thai Chicken Pasta for Amanda, and Cajun Jambalaya Pasta for myself. We both got full-sized portions so we could take home leftovers and switch for dinner. 🙂 We got a couple of slices of cheesecake to go as well – Brownie Sundae Cheesecake and a Toblerone something or other one as well. Yet to be consumed, but I’m sure they’re outstanding!

FYI: Their menu is huge, but there are even more items on the restaurant’s menu than their online version. If you’re impatient, be forewarned that we went at 2pm and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. I’m sure that will calm down a bit after the holiday shopping rush, though.

  1. I must say that the Cheesecake factory is delicious. We have one here in Albany finally, and we went for Amy’s birthday. We got there about 4 and still had to wait about an hour. It was crazy. Wound up getting a table at the bar instead. We also had the Toblerone thingy…best chesecake ever. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.
