Vocal Rest

So here I am, at home now on vocal rest for basically an unknown amount of time. It is very difficult not to talk, especially when there is so much going on right now, but I have no choice. I wish I knew more ASL or was more proficient at what I do know. Signing would be a whole lot easier than writing everything on my white board. 🙂 I’ve never found an ASL class here in Buffalo and that always surprised me. Never in any of the schools I went to anyway, but I’ve always wanted to learn because of my voice and needing to rest it every now and again.

Anyhoo, e-mail and white boards are the best form of communication for me at the moment and thank God for that!

  1. Sad that there aren’t any ASL classes offered in Buffalo. They can be hard to find. And even when you do find one, the variety of people and abilities makes it hard for everyone to get something from it.

http://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/index.htm used to have a decent online curriculum, the site seems to be loading every page in a new window right now though (annoying)

http://www.aslpro.com/ is a very cool dictionary

And maybe as a furture reference for classes:
