Odds and ends
Sorry I haven’t had much to say in the past few days. We’ve been dealing with issues at work that leave me no desire to be around a computer in the evenings. I love my technology, but I also like to unplug every once in awhile.
Thursday, I interviewed for a position on the Board of Directors of the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation. I’ve been extremely involved with the group since the summer of 2004, and since there were vacancies on the board, I felt this was an opportunity for me to help the group more than I already am. The interview went ok, but I pretty much have myself convinced I didn’t get it. I know the choice has already been made, and the announcement will be made at the board meeting next Thursday. The waiting part sucks.
Don’t forget… Bring It Back To Life concert is Friday at Nietzsche’s!
Good luck with the job app.
Derek, I’d love to end the suspense for you because you are my friend, but I can’t! Sorry… I know you understand. One way or the other, your time on the board will come. Everyone on the board greatly appreciates the hard work you and Amanda have put in the project. For those that weren’t as aware of your contributions, I made sure that they knew just exactly what all of you guys (you, Mark and Tony) did for us the past couple seasons.
That’s ok, Mike. I wasn’t expecting the power of the blog to break your vow of secrecy. 😉
Hi Derek,
I was cleanup in the batting order for the interviews. I left the interview the same as you wondering who the chosen two will be and yes waiting does suck.
I hope you are successful in achieving your goal. I believe we have many similar ideas but you also have the energy of youth working for you.
Best of Luck Good Buddy!
Best of luck to you as well, Tony!
Honestly, we couldn’t have possibly made a bad choice with the 5 people we interviewed. All are strong candidates and worthy members to any board.
