Delaware
In all my years taking vacations and visiting different states, I never even considered Delaware as a possible place to stop. Now being here for the second week in a row for work, I am beginning to have a much better appreciation for this small state. It is really amazingly beautiful and holds that southern charm and personality that you look for in other states like Georgia or the Carolinas. Everyone is friendly and people actually hold doors open for you and say Maam and Sir all the time. Tonight my work partner, Mary and I feasted on all you can eat Maryland Blue Crabs. I have never been covered in so much salt and crab parts in my life. But boy were they good! There is also NO sales tax for ANYTHING down here. Christmas shopping has been too easy so far at any of the three outlet stores along Route 1, where our hotel is situated.
Of course, we do have to drive through the middle of a chicken factory every day on our way to work, but it’s not too bad. It smells a lot like dry cat food if you have had the pleasure of smelling that goodie in the morning.
This explains my absense from blogging lately. It is a very busy life I lead now, even busier than before. I hardly want to turn my computer on at night, let alone be typing. Cuddling up with my comfy Husband is the only thing I desire after work. However, now that I am in Delaware with nothing to cuddle with except an old stuffed football that used to be my Husband’s as a child, I found some time. π I’ll be sending pictures along soon, as soon as I figure out how to do that…….
Hi Amanda! I’m glad you’re enjoying the charm of Delaware. See you soon… miss your smiling face here at work!
At least someone misses me……. π
Well, I tell you I miss you all the time, so you don’t need a blog comment from me. π π
