End of vacation… and 2005
Our Christmas season is always very busy and this year was no exception. We spent time with family or friends almost every day since December 23rd. Interestingly though, I feel much more relaxed and rejuvinated than after most vacations, and I can’t really pinpoint what made this one different. Maybe it’s the fact that I haven’t had to think about work in almost two weeks. Or it could be that I consistently got to sleep in until 9 (or later) most days, which I don’t think has happened in years.
Of course, there were a few things that I wanted to get done that I just never got around to. I did absolutely nothing towards my PMI application or studying for the exam. I never got the curtain rods hung in the bedroom for Amanda. I didn’t get a chance to make any pasta. π But I did manage to get this site updated, install new under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, and finally get around to picking up a donation of tables and chairs from Deerhead Inn and dropping them off at the Central Terminal. Going back to work feeling energized is a good way to start off the new year. Let’s hope that feeling lasts… at least through the end of the week. π
