The subtle subervise nature of the Muppets was what made it so wonderful. The hippie versus the Lawrence Welk type singers in this clip underscore the nature of the show in it’s early years.

Catchy tune, that’s for sure.
The Muppets was a cool show. Way ahead of its time.
