10 years ago tomorrow, a good friend of mine was taken prematurely from this world by a Drunk Driver. Her sister is hosting a candlelight vigil Thursday evening, March 6th in Caz Park. I strongly encourage anyone who knew Karen, or anyone else who may have been killed by a drunk driver to join us in this remembrance. Here are the details:

Karen was dating my cousin Henry when she was killed. It was a horrible experience that really made me think about life and how precious it is. I can not believe that it has been ten years since that night. So much has changed and my life has evolved so much since then, but the memory of Karen will always be with me. She was a great friend, always smiling and laughing, and she reminds me to this day to live my own life to its absolute fullest.
