I’ve been itching to get out and try the new GPS at geocaching, so I found an easy cache within a mile of work and ran out on my lunch break. One of the cool things about geocaching is that you learn interesting facts about the areas you cache in, and caches are frequently placed at sites of historical significance, however minor of a significance that may be. Today’s cache took me to the former site of the Sheridan Drive-In, which I never knew existed – until today.

I remember going to MANY movies at the Sheridan Drive-In… the worst experience was seeing the Beatles’ “Hard Day’s Night” with 5 shreaking teenage girls (2 of them, my sisters) packed into a ’54 Pontiac with me, Mom and Dad. Ugh!
