Buy Buffalo Week

I’ve just been too damn busy lately to blog, which is why I’m hopelessly behind on things like Buy Buffalo Week:

Buy Buffalo Week 2006 is a grassroots effort by WNYmedia.net and Broadway Fillmore Alive to get people to either shop at local businesses or eat at local restaurants during the week of August 27th.

This is in no way a boycott of national chains. It is on the other hand a way for WNYers to go out and make a conscience conscious effort to support a locally owned business at least once during said week. Why not make that trip to the Broadway Market you’ve been promising yourself or eat at that local restaurant you’ve been dying to try.

Local businesses are the backbone of the community!!!
