Sometimes it’s very beneficial to know how to do some relatively simple “advanced beginner” maintenance tasks on your own vehicle. Such as today when my rear brakes started squealing. I ran down to Pep Boys, picked up a new set of pads, and threw them on the car for a total cost of $27.18 and about an hour’s worth of labor. Good for another 30,000 miles.
Compare that to the tank of gas I got today that cost me $34.69, took about 5 minutes, and will be gone in 300 miles. Hmm.
